is wrong, and respond

Mandated Reporting: |
|
Under Massachusetts law
anyone who works or
interacts regularly with
children is mandated to
report suspected abuse
to the Department of
Social Services. |

|
-
Phone in an oral
report as soon as
possible to the DSS
protective screening
unit.
-
File a written
report with DSS
within 48 hours
after the oral
report is given.
-
DSS will notify the
reporter, in writing
of its decision to
support/unsupport
the report.
